Relay wipers with pause adjustment

Wiper relay 722.3777-02 with pause adjustment.

Designed for program control of the periodic operation of the windshield wiper of the car.

1. How to set the pause (Instructions for use)

Changing the time between two wipes is done entirely through the factory wiper lever on the steering wheel, without installing additional buttons. The adjustment range is from 0.5 to 45 seconds. 

Setting the interval:
Switch on the wipers to the interval (intermittent) stage. They will make one revolution.
Immediately return them to the off position (position "0").
Wait as many seconds as you want the new pause to be (for example, wait 10 seconds until the glass gets wet).
Switch the lever back to the interval stage.
Result: The relay "remembers" this time and the wipers will continue to operate every 10 seconds. 
Change the interval: Repeat the procedure at any time - just turn off, wait for the new desired time and turn on again. 
Reset: When you turn off the engine (turn off the ignition), the relay is reset to its factory default pause (about 4-5 seconds). 

2. Hidden and additional functions (Extras)

Two other key changes to the operation of the wipers:

"Smart" spraying (Start delay): In the standard Niva, the wipers start immediately with the spray and dryly scrape the glass until the pump pumps water. The 722.3777-02 relay adds a 0.5 second delay - first the water flows and only then the blades start, protecting the glass from scratching. 
Automatic 3 revolutions: After a short spray of liquid, the wipers automatically make exactly 3 full revolutions for drying and stop by themselves. 

3. Installation and an important detail from the forums

Direct replacement (Plug & Play): The relay visually looks like the classic relay RS-514 (standard for Niva/Lada). It is located under the dashboard (behind the fuses or next to the steering column on the left). You simply disconnect the old one and plug the new one into the same socket.
The additional cable: The relay has an additional protruding cable with a cable lug. The forums explicitly emphasize: this cable must be connected to the power supply of the wiper pump (to the cable that goes from the lever to the water spray motor). If you do not connect it, the wipers will still have an adjustable pause, but you will not have the automatic wiping function when the glass is sprayed.
