In the catalogs it is also found simply as EBN low pressure (Electric gasoline pump) for carburetor engines of VAZ 2101-2107 and LADA NIVA. It is used as a complete replacement for the classic mechanical pump (which is driven by the engine).
Pros
End of "gasoline plugs" in the summer: The biggest pain of carburetor Ladas is the overheating of the mechanical pump in summer traffic jams. The gasoline in it boils, an air cushion is formed and the car stalls. The electric pump completely solves this problem.
Instant ignition in the morning: When the car stands for several days, the gasoline in the carburetor evaporates. With a mechanical pump, you have to turn the starter for a long time (or pump manually under the hood). With the electric pump, you simply turn on the ignition, it pumps for 2-3 seconds and you start immediately.
Makes life easier with a gas system (AGU) installed: There is no longer a need to install a mechanical gasoline valve to stop the fuel. Stopping the gasoline is done simply by cutting off the current to the pump.
Safe pressure (0.2 bar): The pump is specially calibrated for Solex / Ozone carburetors. It does not overflow the float chamber and does not overcome the carburetor needle, unlike injection pumps (which do over 3 bar).
