Scheme of mounting points

To the distributor: The bracket is mounted on the rear cover of the transfer case, using the four existing studs (where the cover of the bearings on the rear drive shaft is closed).
To the compartment (floor): The bumper, mounted on the crown, is attached to the bottom of the car. Since the coupe on the older level does not have ready welded studs on this place, it is necessary to drill the floor.

Installation instructions step by step

Step 1: Preparation in the compartment

Remove the front seats (or at least the passenger seat) and lift the carpet and the noise insulation in the area behind the levers on the transmission. You need to get to гол метал над тунела.

Step 2: Mounting the crown to the distributor

Loosen the four nuts on the back cover of the distributor.
Place additional crowns (to lie precisely on the lid).
Re-tighten the nuts to factory torque recommendations. Attach the tampon itself to the crown.

Step 3: Centrovane (The most important step!)

Step 4: Drilling and strengthening

Drill holes in the floor (usually with an 8 mm drill bit).
Golden rule: Because the sheet metal on the floor is thin, you must place a reinforcing plank or wide thick washers on the floor of the compartment (under the carpet). If you tighten the bolts directly on the sheet metal, the load will stretch or shorten over time.
Pass the bolts from the side of the compartment down and tighten them to the tampon from below.

Important tips for avoiding backlash (Vibrations)

Height adjustment: Sometimes, after pulling the third support, it "forces" the distributor slightly up or down, which breaks the angle of the intermediate shaft (prom shaft). According to users in Drive2, if a new loud noise appears after installation, you should put adjusting washers between the tampon and the floor of the car to remove air without twisting the box.
Condition of the axle: The third support works perfectly only if the intermediate shaft (kareto/gumenoto kare) is balanced and in good condition. If it is crooked, the additional tampon will transmit the vibrations directly to the compartment and it will become noisier.
